A day of celebration and coming together with the local community!
On Sunday 30 June, Hatherleigh Silver Band hosted a unique concert on Dartmoor to raise money and awareness for us as a Team.
With a concert hosted at Yes Tor (619m) which was enjoyed by many in the sunshine. Followed by a second concert at Rowtor.
Not to worry if you missed out, you can catch up on BBC Devon Spotlight (at 3.40) > https://www.bbc.co.uk/…/spotlight-evening-news-30062024…
At Rowtor, we presented Team Members with several awards.
Firstly, the King’s Coronation Medals which are awarded to Team Members who have volunteered with a MREW Team for 5 or more years. These were presented by Deputy Lieutenant Stephen Hindley CBE DL on behalf of the Lord Lieutenant of Devon.
Secondly, Long Service Certificates and Life Membership to several Team Members, some of who have been part of our Team for 30 years! These certificates were presented by the Okehampton Mayor and Okehampton Hamlets Representative in the afternoon.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity on the day. A special thanks to the wonderful Hatherleigh Silver Band for a wonderful concert! We look forward to the next challenge.
