In our first call-out of the year, the team were called out at 1430 in response to a 999 call from a lady who had become lost, in the Sittaford Tor area of Dartmoor.
10 members from North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team, supported by 4 members of Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team – Tavistock, were deployed and the lady was located safe and well, before being returned to her waiting partner at 1645.
We are on call 24/7/365 and rely solely on donations, to remain operational – we are not funded by government grants.
