Callout – 3 October 2024

At 15:07, Devon & Cornwall Police notified of a South Western Ambulance Service Trust request for the Team to support a fallen motorbike rider near Sandpits (Row Tor Car Park).

Remote Rescue Medical Technicians arrived on the scene with a Team Land Rover and assessed the individual for any life-threatening or C-Spine injuries. After which, pain relief was given for the injuries and the casualty was packaged and prepared for moving to meet a land ambulance en route from North Devon.

The Team was stood down at 15:53 for those not on the scene already.

An ambulance arrived shortly after to take the casualty to the hospital at 16:17.

We wish the individual a speedy recovery.

Please note that the casualty did not break any bylaws on Dartmoor.
