North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team (NDSART) were called at 10:21 by Devon & Cornwall Police to search for a high-risk missing person in Exeter, who was last seen the night before.
Team Members from NDSART, Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England Search Dog team and Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team – Ashburton (DSRTA) were deployed from the Tesco car park to search the surrounding fields and woodlands in the area.
The multiple search teams covered a wide area, with an eventual find by an NDSART and DSRTA mixed search team in the late afternoon.
Sadly, it was not a happy outcome, and our thoughts go out to the missing person’s family and friends.
Thank you to Tesco for allowing use of the car park throughout the day.
