Callout – Sunday 23 March 2025

North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team were called by South Western Ambulance Service Trust at 13:10 to locate and support an unwell Ten Tors participant near Great Links Tor.

The Team was deployed from the Fox and Hound Inn and Restaurant, where they found the teammates within the Ten Tors group supporting the casualty by keeping them warm and hydrated before the Team Remote Rescue Medical Technicians assessed the casualty.

NDSART Team Members supported the casualty back to an awaiting Land Rover to return them to our Control Vehicle waiting at The Fox and Hounds and meet a Team Doctor who conducted a final assessment before the individual returned home with their family.

We wish the individual all the best and a speedy recovery.

The Team was stood down at 14:18.
