The team were called out in the early hours of the morning, around 0100 to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in evacuating an injured soldier from the moor.
After the call had gone out to the team and they were on their way, contact was made with a SAR helicopter that was also dispatched to fly the casualty to hospital.
As a result the team were stood down en route to the casualty site. 9 members were on their way when the stand down was received.
