Monday 26 August
The Team were called at 13:53 to support South Western Ambulance Service Trust to an individual with a suspected broken shoulder near Belstone Tor. NDSART were stood down at 14:13 as HART required no further resources.
North Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team were called at 21:57 to support Devon & Cornwall Police in the search for a missing person in the Barnstaple area. Due to the location, this was initially handed over to Exmoor Search & Rescue Team
Tuesday 27 August
At 05:17, the Police Lost Person Search Manager called North Dartmoor Search & Rescue Team to take over the search from Exmoor Search and Rescue Team who had been searching throughout the night. Both teams, with the Police drone and helicopter, HM Coastguard teams and Devon & Somerset Fire Service – Urban Search & Rescue team, searched outbuildings, streets, lanes, fields, woodlands and waterways.
At 10:25 Tuesday morning, the Police confirmed the location of the missing person following a report by a member of the public. One of our team’s Remote Rescue Medical Technicians assessed and monitored until able to hand over on arrival of South Western Ambulance Service Trust for onward care. The Team was stood down at 11:15.
